The FAAA has renewed its calls for professionals from diverse industries to consider a career in financial advice.
The push is part of its recently-launched Better Off awareness campaign, which aims to appeal to people seeking new career paths by highlighting how they could be better off working in financial advice.
FAAA CEO Sarah Abood says with the ongoing strong demand for professional financial advice across Australia, the campaign aims to address adviser shortages.
“This campaign encourages people from all walks of life to consider financial advice as an attractive career,” she says.
“By attracting career changers, we’re bringing to the profession people who already have life experience as well as professional skills gained in other areas.”
Abood says many existing financial advisers are career changers and know the benefits those extra skills and experience can bring to their practice.
