A significant number of financial advisers still need to complete their education requirements or risk removal from the Financial Adviser Register, according to Kaplan Professional.

The education provider said that just under 1,000 existing advisers, who do not qualify for the 10-year experience exemption, are yet to finish their studies before the 31 December 2025 Financial Adviser Standards (FAS) deadline.

Kaplan Professional CEO Brian Knight said the window to complete studies is narrowing, but help remains available.

“We know the pressure advisers are under as the deadline approaches – that is why the Summer Intensive matters,” Knight said.

“It is a final, flexible six-week sprint to the finish line, and our team is ready to work with every adviser, whatever their situation.”

Enrolments for Kaplan’s accelerated program close on 5 November, with participants able to start from 27 October. The program allows advisers to complete remaining coursework in six weeks, with final results released on 15 December – before the compliance cutoff.

Knight said Treasury had confirmed there would be no extensions to the FAS deadline.
