APRA has announced that Carmen Beverley-Smith, Executive Director Life Insurance, Private Health Insurance and Superannuation (LPHIS), has resigned with immediate effect “to take up an opportunity in a senior position at a regulated entity”.
LPHIS GM Peter Kohlhagen will be acting LPHIS Executive Director on an interim basis until the role is permanently filled. APRA is seeking to fill the position as soon as possible.
According to her LinkedIn page, Beverley-Smith joined APRA in March 2023 and held her latest role for 17 months. Prior to joining the regulator she worked for Westpac Group as GM, Risk Management Business Division & Risk Transformation Delivery.
