NEOS Lifts Medical-Free Limits

NEOS has increased the level of cover clients can access without mandatory medical checks, following feedback gathered during its recent adviser roadshows.

The changes, effective 11 March 2026, apply to the NEOS Protection product and are designed to streamline the advice process and reduce application delays.

Under the updated settings, clients can now apply for income protection of up to $15,000 per month across all ages without medical requirements. Life and Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) Cover limits have also been lifted, with applicants under 50 able to access up to $3m in cover, subject to a body mass index below 30.

For older clients, the product provider has set medical-free limits of up to $1.5m in Life Cover for those aged 50 and over. TPD Cover is available up to $1.5m for those aged 50 to 54, and up to $1.25m for clients aged 55 and above, without mandatory medicals.

NEOS states the changes would allow more applications to be approved via straight-through processing, reducing the need for medical tests and improving turnaround times for advisers and their clients.

The updates were a direct response to adviser feedback collected during its “Back to Business” roadshows, with the product provider adding it would continue to refine its offering to simplify life insurance processes.
