In a move reflecting continued growth in the general advice sector, Consilium Advice Australia (Consilium) has recently appointed Peter Petrovski to a newly created position of General Advice Training Officer.
Positioned by Consilium (part of the Australian Advisory group) as an initiative designed to bolster adviser education, the firm notes this appointment is a dedicated role intended to strengthen and expand adviser education and training across the licensee group.

Operating under a specialised general advice model, Consilium says it provides advisers a compliant pathway to educate clients on life insurance without stepping into personal advice, assessing suitability, or making recommendations.
It adds this appointment reflects Consilium’s ongoing investment in the training infrastructure that underpins the general advice model, ensuring advisers are equipped to educate their clients and make informed decisions with confidence and clarity.
In his new role, Petrovski – who spent time as a financial adviser before moving into senior training, quality assurance, advice assessment and remediation roles – will lead adviser training and induction programs across the group, working closely with the firm’s compliance team to provide ongoing education, professional development and day-to-day guidance to advisers operating under the general advice model.
