ANZ has expanded its OnePath service offering to superannuation fund trustees and members with the launch of new digital tools that allow them to access information about ongoing life insurance claims.

ANZ Wealth Head of Life Insurance, Gerard Kerr

The trustee tool – RiskWorks Insurance Manager – will be accessible via any digital device and allow fund trustees to obtain member updates at any time and access claims performance data to meet reporting and monitoring requirements under the Insurance in Superannuation Code of Practice.

ANZ stated that 26 funds are currently using the tool and have access to a dashboard of claims information, and bespoke claims reports including details on claims paid duration, finalised claims and outstanding data.

Individual fund members have also been provided with a tool – RiskWorks MyClaim – that provides members with up-to-date claim information at any time.

ANZ Wealth Head of Insurance, Gerard Kerr said the tools gave fund trustees and members access to information they often needed.

“In early 2017, we devised a detailed innovation roadmap that details our service proposition to our clients. This is being delivered through a number of service initiatives and new technology, including the trustee and member portals which give trustees and members self-service capability,” Kerr said.

The launch of the new tools follows the roll-out of a similar tool to advisers in April 2018 when online claims functionality was added to OnePath’s adviser portal OneView Life which allows advisers to  monitor the status of a client’s claim, track medical requests for life insurance applications, and notify ANZ of a client’s intention to lodge a claim.
