Zurich has extended the range of occupations and the number of policies eligible for its improved bundled premium discount resulting in around 50% more customers now being eligible .
The insurer had introduced its Zurich SmartValue discount in 2016 which came into effect when customers bundled their Wealth Protection Death cover and Income Protection cover with Zurich.
To be eligible customers had to combine death cover under a Series 2 Zurich Protection Plus or Superannuation Term Life Plus policy with a new Income Protector or Superannuation Income Protector policy.
This created a discount of up to 12.5% for the Income Protector policy and up to 15 percent for the lump sum cover, depending on the occupation, age and benefit amounts chosen.
Zurich has informed advisers that from 13 February 2017 the number of occupations and sum insured bands had been extended, effectively allowing around 50% more customers to access the improved discount.
