Zurich Risk Team Boosted by Raft of Appointments

Zurich Financial Services Australia has completed a further expansion of its Life Risk Sales team which has been boosted by 11 new appointments, with nine being recruited from outside the business.

Zurich has also promoted Strategic Account Manager, Nathan Taggart to the newly formed role of Head of Strategic Development where he will join the Distribution Leadership team and report to Zurich Life and Investments’ Head of Distribution Kristine Brooks.

Taggart will be replaced by former Lifebroker Head of Sales & Operations, Tim Atley who will join Zurich’s national Strategic Accounts team with responsibility for ongoing relationships with dealer group partners.

The appointments add eight new Business Development Managers to the team with the 11 appointments spread across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia to support Zurich’s growth in key urban and regional centres.

Joining Zurich in NSW is former TAL Sales Development Specialist Annqua Murray and former financial adviser James O’Dwyer who have taken on roles as Business Development Managers while OnePath New Business Team leader Liz Versace has joined as a Business Support Officer.

In Queensland, Tanya Woolnough joins as Business Development Manager having previously held a similar role at AMP.

In Victoria, AIA Client Development Manager Emily Cossignani and NAB Financial Planning, National Insurance Manager Andrew Roberts have taken on roles as Business Development Managers alongside Sarah Nichols who has been promoted from within Zurich to the same role. Heena Mulchandani has also joined Zurich as a Business Development Associate in that state, moving from a paraplanning role at Salt Financial Group.

In Western Australia, Richard Burton from Westpac Group’s mortgage broking team and risk adviser Steve Coyle have joined as Business Development Managers.

Brooks said the appointments have been made as Zurich prepares to revamp its product line-up later this year to more fully integrate those products acquired through the Macquarie Life acquisition in October 2016.
