Advice for the Newly Divorced

Two Financial Services Partners (FSP) advisers have launched a new book which explores the financial issues around separation and divorce.

100914-divorce-bookWilson and Analaura Luna’s book, ‘Real Money Advice for Divorce‘ is the third in their ‘Your Family – Your Money’ series.

“There are a lot of books out there that address the emotional and psychological aspects of divorce,” said Ms Luna, “Yet in our research we couldn’t find an Australian guide outlining the financial side of separation. That was our great impetuous.  We wanted Australian families to have a simple, easy to follow guide that is relevant for them.”

Coinciding with the book launch, FSP has developed a new fact sheet for advisers to use with clients.  The fact sheet provides a snap-shot of some of the key issues that a spouse should consider when separating.  For example, one of the first questions advisory businesses need to answer is: “Who gets custody of the financial adviser.”

“Our intention with the release of this book is to provide a framework for clients and financial advisers to work together to achieve a solid financial outcome during this difficult time of their life,” said Mr Luna.

‘Real Money Advice for Divorce’ is now available in bookstores nationally.
