The AFA Board has announced Victorian adviser Brad Fox as its National President for the next two years.
In a sign of generational change Mr Fox, who won the AFA Rising Star Award in 2008, replaces outgoing President and long-time industry stalwart, Dr Jim Taggart OAM.
Approximately half of the Board has changed over, following the Association’s Annual General Meeting, with ‘new blood’ joining the Boards’ ranks.
New to the AFA Board are:
- Adam Smith – WA (2008 AFA Adviser of the Year joint winner, elected as incoming National Vice President)
- Kenn Williams – WA
- David Sutherland – SA/NT
- Michael Nowak – Qld
The new Board members will join existing members:
- Dennis Bateman – Qld (National Treasurer)
- Esther Althaus – Vic
- Marc Bineham – NSW/ACT
In addressing members following his appointment, Mr Fox congratulated the work of DrTaggart and the previous Board and spoke of charting a passage with the new Board for the AFA and its members through the sometimes difficult waters ahead.
