AMP has released a statement welcoming the decision earlier this week by Treasurer Wayne Swan to approve the proposed AMP acquisition of AXA Asia Pacific Holdings (AXA APH).
Final approval is subject to a number of conditions around employment, which include maximising internal redeployment opportunities for staff.
AXA APH minority shareholders will be voting on the acquisition proposal today .
