Senior Risk Appointment at PIS

Professional Investment Services (PIS) has appointed Mark Stubbings to the newly created role of Head of Risk.

Prior to this appointment, Mr Stubbings held risk distribution and advice roles within the independent dealer group.

According to PIS, risk currently forms 40% of the company’s advice revenue and Mr Stubbings’ appointment has been the catalyst to focus on continuing this growth.

Mr Stubbings will manage the alignment of relevant resources within the greater PIS business (professional standards and advice revenue) and launch a series of new risk initiatives including the creation of a “Business Insurance & Estate Planning Academy”.

Stephen Poole, Group General Manager – Advice, said the new role reflected the continued and growing importance of life insurance to PIS’ business.

“The new role will encompass responsibility for risk advice across the Group, the strategic direction of risk product development as well as managing relationships with risk product providers,” Mr Poole said.

Mr Stubbing’s appointment follows the recent departure of senior exec.  Winton Aslin, who held the role of Group Manager Risk at PIS (see: Winton Aslin Joins M3).
