AFA Searching for Next Rising Star

Nominations are now open for the 2011 Association of Financial Advisers’ (AFA) Rising Star of the Year Award.

The award, sponsored by OnePath, recognises new talent in the area of financial advice.

“The nominees are tomorrow’s industry leaders,” said AFA CEO, Richard Klipin.  “They have the power to make a difference when it comes to the future of our industry – and we must nurture and support them to this end.”  

To be considered a Rising Star, young advisers need to:

  • Demonstrate high levels of advisory skills and knowledge
  • Have been working as an adviser for three years or less
  • Be based in a practice, either as an employee or as a principal
  • Provide quality/holistic advice, including risk advice
  • Have made contributions to the community
  • Have contributed to the industry
  • Have an appropriate educational background and qualifications.

Nominations close on 29 July and the winner will be announced at the AFA’s National Conference.
