TAL (formerly TOWER Australia) has announced the completion of its brand transition, marking the occasion with an upgrade to its retail insurance offer.

Among the enhancements made to TAL’s Accelerated Protection offer are changes to key cancer definitions to provide broader coverage.

The insurer has also announced:

  • A faster death cover buy-back option and critical illness reinstatement, which can be applied 12 months after the claim lodgement date
  • An expansion of the tele-interviewing service to include height/weight and tobacco/alcohol questions and a new Short Form Application
  • Improvements to xQuote that the insurer says will speed up the process of saving and uploading quote data

Speaking about the transition to the new brand, CEO of Retail Life, Brett Clark, said:  “The completion of our brand transition marks the start of our next, exciting chapter as Australia’s leading life insurance specialist.”

He said TAL would continue to be a specialist life insurance business, and would deliver product excellence, high-quality service outcomes and market-leading technology applications to support its partnership with risk advisers.
