AIA Australia’s highly-regarded NSW State Manager – Client Development, Vicki Writer, will be departing the insurer at the end of next month to set up a new service intended to deliver value for consumers as well as acting as a potential referral service for advice practices.

Focusing on her unique abilities in motivating and training other people, Ms Writer has developed a lifestyle and coaching program which considers all aspects of a person’s life and assists them to develop a blue print for their future. Called The 360° Solution™,  Ms Writer’s services will extend to public speaking, coaching and consulting.

The lifestyle blueprint developed by Ms Writer has been shaped by her experiences across a 25-year financial services career, and involves a logical and sequential seven-stage process. The early stages of the process ask the client to evaluate all aspects of their present life, including health and lifestyle habits, before progressing to consideration of their values and future vision and how to achieve it.

I hope I inspire advisers to think differently about what they offer and help them to create an independent income outside of the sale of the product

Ms Writer told riskinfo that part of the program is referred to as The Lifestyle Continuity Plan, which aims to have clients identify for themselves that they carry a financial risk and need to seek financial advice. She says this will present opportunities for her to refer her clients to advisers. She has already set up one such strategic alliance with a WA advice practice, and has retained the firm of Susan O’Rourke and Associates to deliver estate planning services. She has also recruited a performance training expert to providing expertise in the area of fitness.

“All of these areas become apparent when a client engages in the coaching program and identifies changes they need to make to their personal circumstances,” said Ms Writer.

“Whilst there’s an opportunity for advisers to work with me on developing their own proposition or even the possibility of licensing mine, my main focus is to take a program to market that looks at someone’s entire life,” said Ms Writer, who added that this allows her to charge a coaching fee for the process and provide referrals back into the industry.

“I hope I inspire advisers to think differently about what they offer and help them to create an independent income outside of the sale of the product, therefore taking back control and certainty over their future,” she said.

Coinciding with the launch of her new venture, Ms Writer has launched a book, The 360° Solution™, and will be conducting one of her first seminars on the NSW Central Coast on 28 May.

  1. Looks like a very unique and exciting concept.

Incorporating these sort of value adds into a business are the 1%s that will keep clients on the books for the long term.

    Best of luck!
