Zurich Unveils New Quoting Platform

Zurich has launched a new life insurance quoting and application system, expected to drive significant efficiency gains for advisers.

Called ZXpress, the platform provides a user-friendly process the insurer hopes will cut the time it takes to complete the application process by up to one third.

The software was developed in collaboration with Adviser Connect, the creator of ANZ’s OneCare Express application, and also incorporates adviser feedback gained through an extensive pilot process.

The insurer said the major benefits of the new system included:

  • A highly intuitive system making the overall operation fast and robust
  • The ability to share quote and application data with other users within advisers’ practices
  • Flexible payment options, easy splitting of benefits and super linking
  • Client details are stored in the system meaning a quicker review process

Zurich said it was also planning on adding an interface with IRESS Risk Researcher, to eliminate the need for advisers to re-key client information when proceeding from quote to application.

“No matter what the outcome of the current industry dialogue, driving efficiencies in business management – particularly the customer onboarding process – is at the top of the innovation agenda for many financial advice practices,” said General Manager of Zurich Retail Life and Investments, Philip Kewin.

“At Zurich, we recognise the role we need to play. Our research shows that many advice practices are keen to avail themselves of tools and technology to drive greater business efficiency and facilitate an improved customer service experience. ZXpress is a functional way that we can support this, and we believe many of the features incorporated within it are market-leading,” he said.

ZXpress will replace Zurich’s current LifeXpress platform, which will be phased out over the coming weeks.

  1. First BT and now Zurich copying OnePath. Interesting! Suppose it’s a compliment to them.

  2. What the?! Why not just stick to online quoting? Everything is web based these days… the process of installing software on staff computers, and updates, logins etc is just annoying. Weird move by Zurich in my opinion… normally they are at the forefront technology wise. This is a step backwards.
