Paradigm Wealth Management has announced the appointment of well-known industry exec, Carsten Zuber as the group’s Head of Operations.

In a release announcing his appointment, Zuber says he has several responsibilities within Paradigm, “…but one of the early priorities is to focus on the risk insurance arm of the business – an aspect of financial planning which is particularly close to my heart.”
Paradigm says Zuber, who will be based at the firm’s Melbourne head office, is developing commercial partnerships with accounting firms and mortgage broking businesses which it says are ‘strategically and philosophically aligned’.
Zuber has worked in a range of senior management roles during his 25-year career within the financial services sector. Prior to joining Paradigm, he held senior roles with Industry Funds Services and QInvest, as well as holding National Risk Insurance Manager responsibilities for a number of planning businesses including the former Garrisons dealer group.
…the [underinsurance] problem is compounded many-fold when it comes to business insurance
In welcoming Zuber to Paradigm, the Group’s CEO, Bill Danaher, said “Carsten’s experience within boutique, medium and large scale businesses will be invaluable in the development and promotion of future marketplace offerings, strategy implementation and relationship management for Paradigm”.
Noting what he refers to as Australia’s woeful underinsurance issue, Zuber said “…the problem is compounded many-fold when it comes to business insurance – key person and business succession issues in particular”, adding, that many older advisers who operated in this market have left the sector, leaving a void which Paradigm is well placed to fill: “Strengthening Paradigm’s business insurance proposition is a further priority and objective”, he said.
