The AFA stated the business, led by founder and Chief Executive, Sam Henderson and General Manager, Tony Davison, demonstrated their expertise across all of the judging criteria.

“As a diversified financial services practice they bring a complete experience to their clients, and have successfully leveraged Mr Henderson’s media profile to attract and educate a broad demographic of clients. It is an innovative practice and has used social media very effectively as an engagement tool,” the Association said.

In a similar process to the Adviser of the Year Award, the nominees and finalists for the AFA’s Practice of the Year experience a rigorous and detailed judging process including an in-depth client feedback survey, site visit, examination of advice documents and interviews with staff, prior to the grand finalists being required to deliver a final presentation to the judging panel.

Henderson Maxwell is the third winner of this Award, following its inaugural 2014 winner, Brisbane firm, Complete Financial Balance and last year’s winner, the Kearney Group.

The finalists for this year’s award were Henderson Maxwell, Mediq with Managing Partner Ravi Agarwal, and Navwealth with Chief Executive Craig Banning.
