Zurich Financial Services Australia has appointed a former State Street and BT Investment Management senior executive to head up its risk insurance sales across the country.
State Street Managing Director and Head of Relationship Management Peter Mitchell will take on the role of Zurich National Sales Manager, Retail Risk reporting through to Zurich Head of Distribution Life and Investments, Kristine Brooks.
Mitchell takes on the national sales role from Dave Evans who held the role from October 2016 to January 2017 after moving across from Macquarie Life following its purchase by Zurich in October 2016.
The recently expanded national retail risk sales team of 33 people at Zurich will report to Mitchell, with Brooks saying Mitchell’s appointment comes as Zurich expands and enhances its product and service propositions following the acquisition of Macquarie Life’s risk business last year.
