TAL has released details of its 2018 Risk Academy schedule, which includes new courses and a new learning portal.
The insurer has revealed its 2018 package offers more than 50 ‘product agnostic’ courses, including 16 new options that span topics including:
- Super and insurance advice
- Financial underwriting
- Understanding health conditions
- Business management
- Building unique client value propositions
TAL suggests its courses serve dual purposes in both supporting advisers with their professional development and also in assisting them with the growth of their business.
A new feature in 2018 is the introduction of a new online learning management and course tracking system designed, according to TAL, to help advisers create more personal learning plans with the ability to search on specific knowledge areas via desktop or mobile devices.
Learning options include on-demand seminars, face-to-face workshops or masterclasses. TAL notes the majority of its courses are available at no cost, but that its masterclass option includes a fee that is donated by the insurer to charity.
The Risk Academy appears to have proven popular with the risk adviser community; the insurer reporting more than six thousand advisers have attended over 16,500 of its courses since its inception in 2015.
