Synchron Director, Don Trapnell

This annual event for Synchron advisers and BDMs under the age of 40 is to be held this year in  Rotorua in New Zealand.

Unique because of the combination of its focus on youth and the mix of its attendees, this is the thirteenth year the event will be held.

Intended to expand their practice management and marketing skills and to explore new ways of building and strengthening relationships with their clients and with each other, Synchron says this year’s NextGen has been expanded to accommodate 72 attendees, including young Synchron advisers, support staff and industry professionals, as well as eight invited New Zealand financial services industry guests.

The dealer has also noted its 2019 NextGen Bootcamp was fully subscribed within 24 hours and that there is now a waitlist.

Synchron Director, Don Trapnell, said “The key objective of NextGen is to help our advisers and those BDMs who help them, to build strong and healthy advice businesses.”

He added that hosting this year’s NextGen Bootcamp in New Zealand will also give delegates and the Synchron team the opportunity to view the New Zealand financial advice landscape firsthand:

“New Zealand is just starting to go through the kinds of structural and regulatory change we have experienced in Australia,” said Trapnell. “In the interests of our profession and our businesses, we are keen hear about the New Zealand experience and, if we can, help our kiwi counterparts with the issues facing both our countries.”
