Financial advice software company, Midwinter Financial Services has announced an integration with Omnium, a Sydney-based specialised life insurance technology firm.
A statement from the two companies says the integration allows users of Midwinter’s financial planning software, AdviceOS, to leverage Omnium’s life insurance data for premium and feature comparisons.
Fully integrated into the AdviceOS Insurance Comparison module, the Omnium API researches more than 500 current products and more than 6,000 expired products, and displays these in a visual interface, allowing advisers to easily run like-for-like insurance comparisons.
The companies says the integration brings “industry-leading innovation” to Midwinter’s customers, such as straight through connectivity from AdviceOS into life insurance company application software and other add-ons like detailed definition comparisons and wider product coverage including life insurance under:
- Retail
- Direct
- Retail Super
- Industry Fund Super
- Public Sector Super
- Corporate Super
- Mortgage Protection Insurance
Ivon Gower, Head of Product at Midwinter, says the integration with Omnium provides increased choice and efficiency for its clients.
…drastically reduce the effort required for advisers to purchase life insurance for their clients…
“Features such as the instant premium validation and application integration drastically reduce the effort required for advisers to purchase life insurance for their clients.”
He adds that this is part of a broader integration strategy to ensure its customers “…have access to a selection of best-of-breed technology providers that deliver increased value and efficiency through AdviceOS”.
Omnium already services more than 2,000 financial planners in Australia with its life insurance research technology and can now add AdviceOS users to this number as they take up the new insurance comparison offering.
The Omnium life insurance feed is available now, on request, to all AdviceOS users with access to the Insurance Comparison module.
