Fortnum Private Wealth has appointed experienced practice management leader and former financial adviser Jason Gapps to the position of Practice Engagement and Growth Manager.
He joins Fortnum from Madison Financial Group where he was National Practice Manager.
Prior to that, Gapps was a Senior Financial Adviser at Sydney-based advisory firm, Hunter Wealth Financial Advisers. He has also held senior positions at ANZ Wealth, BT Financial Group and the Commonwealth Bank.
Announcing Gapps’ appointment Fortnum Group CEO and Managing Director Neil Younger says the group is focused on working closely with advisers to build strong, thriving businesses.
He says the needs and expectations of advisers and their clients are changing “…and we must also continuously evolve our proposition to support our aligned practices. Jason is well respected across the industry and he is a great addition to our team.”
He will report to Rob Skinner, Fortnum Head of Practice Engagement and Growth.
Gapps says he has worked directly with “…many fantastic financial planning businesses and principals over many years and I’ve been an adviser myself so I have an intimate understanding of how advice businesses operate and the challenges and opportunities they are facing.”
He adds that notwithstanding the challenges “…this is a great time to be an adviser. Advice is increasingly recognised as a profession and demand is increasing, giving those who have decided to remain in the industry the opportunity to build exceptional businesses and help more people.”
