Twenty new courses are included in TAL’s 2023 course program for its adviser education platform, the TAL Risk Academy.

The insurer says the program builds on nine years of educational expertise at the TAL Risk Academy to offer more than 110 on-demand courses in 2023.

TAL Head of Sales and Partnerships – Retail Distribution, Beau Riley, says the academy is focused on providing advisers “…with a high quality learning environment and is continually adapting to changing industry and adviser needs.”

New this year are the AskAnExpert monthly Tech Series and Ethics Month, alongside the continuation of the Professional Year program and an expanded library of reading materials offering CPD hours.

Riley says Ethics Month has been developed to help advisers understand the latest industry requirements and obligations, “…while the interactive AskAnExpert series allows our Technical Team to provide comprehensive guidance to advisers’ topical and complex questions.”

The Professional Year program provides structured training to help give new entrants the right start for a career in advice.

The TAL Risk Academy courses are grouped into four key categories:

  • Advice Skills and Training: Courses focused on providing advice foundations for new entrants, through to advanced strategies, to technical expertise
  • Business Management: Courses focused on providing support to grow an advice business through strategy and marketing
  • Education and Professionalism: Courses focused on providing support through the latest industry requirements
  • Professional Year: A tailored learning program for Professional Year candidates
