HCF Life has collaborated with insuretech provider UnderwriteMe to leverage technology, data and analytics to launch Life Protect Insurance.

The insurer says this provides customers with “…personalised solutions that consider their respective circumstances such as lifestyle, medical and family history.”

Life Protect Insurance is available for purchase online and will replace the existing non-underwritten Smart Term Insurance product. HCF health insurance customers will also get a 10% discount off Life Protect’s annual premium.

Lorraine Thomas, HCF Chief Officer Product and Diversified Business says the company’s ambition is “…to design and develop affordable and comprehensive insurance solutions. Our new Life Protect Insurance complements our award-winning life and health insurance product range.”

She says it’s about providing “…the comfort and peace of mind that HCF will be there to help and support during difficult times.”

HCF Life is the sixth insurance provider that UnderwriteMe has collaborated with in the Australian and New Zealand markets “…to launch flexible, scalable solutions that support insurers with quick underwriting decision-making.”

The other five insurance providers are Zurich, Integrity Life, NEOS, MLC and Chubb (formerly Cigna).

UnderwriteMe says its solutions also provide “…robust data and analytics to better serve customers and provide protection efficiently” and that as an insuretech business, it “…continues to lead technological advances in the protection and life insurance market.”

Paul Hughes, Head of Asia Pacific at UnderwriteMe says the firm is thrilled to see HCF Life “…embrace the digital mindset to put customers’ needs first. This has enabled both teams to collaborate closely as we embark on this transformative journey to use automation, data and analytics to make insurance more accessible.”
