Aviva Brand Transition to MLC

The latest Aviva Weekly bulletin notifies advisers of details surrounding the impending brand transition from Aviva to MLC.

With the Aviva brand only licensed to be used until 2 October 2010, the companies are gearing up for the massive exercise in changing certain product names as well as logos on all documents, software and websites from 2 October.

At the same time, however, Aviva and MLC have again confirmed there will be no changes to the terms and conditions applying to any Aviva products or services.

Commencing later this month, a series of client letters will be mailed out that will explain the changes that are taking place.  The changes will apply to every aspect of the Aviva brand across insurance, investment and superannuation, and while there will be name changes impacting platform and business super products, there will be no name change for the Riskfirst product range or the  Protectionfirst software platform.

From 2 October, Aviva clients will need to access their online accounts via www.mlc.com.au, but the company confirms clients’, passwords, navigation and reporting will stay the same.

For processes utilised by advisers, MLC says there will be no major changes to online technology, such as n-link and Riskfirst; they will simply feature the MLC brand, as will the secure adviser website, which advisers will need to access via the MLC web link, utilising their existing login and password details.

New MLC-branded disclosure documents, forms, and marketing materials will also be issued from 2 October 2010 as the Aviva brand departs these shores.
