AMP Aligned Advice Groups Award Top Performers

Three AMP aligned advice groups have handed out their annual awards recognising advisers who have shown high levels of professionalism, operational excellence, superior client service and quality advice.

The three groups – AMP Financial Planning, Charter Financial Planning and Hillross – allowed advisers to nominate colleagues or self-nominate for the awards, with submissions assessed by a panel of industry experts. Clients of nominees for the AMP Financial Planning and Hillross awards were also surveyed by Beddoes Institute to assess client satisfaction as part of the judging process.

AMP Financial Planning named Esther Althaus of Perspective Financial Solutions in South Yarra, Victoria as its Adviser of the Year while Navwealth Financial Group in St Leonards, NSW won Practice of the Year. Navwealth is led by Craig Banning and was a finalist for the AFA Practice of the Year award category in 2016.

Other advisers to be recognised by AMP Financial Planning included Scott Miller of First Class Wealth in Sydney who was named as New Adviser of the Year while his business was named as New Practice of the Year. Amanda Pond of Puddle to Pond Financial, Nowra, NSW received the group’s Value of Advice Award.

Charter Financial Planning named Andrew Thomas from Crest Financial Services in Cook Hill, NSW as its National New Adviser of the Year Award winner while Ben Law from Exceed Financial in Kangaroo Point, Queensland was named as the National Value of Advice Award winner

Ray Albright (NSW-ACT), David Dyson (VIC-TAS), Christopher Manthey (QLD), Alex Brown (SA-NT) and Gary Addison (WA) received the 2016 State Advisers of the Year Awards for their contributions to Charter.

Charter also awarded its Gerald Lippman Perpetual Trophy, given for the the greatest contribution to the progress of Charter during the past 12 months to Andrew Harris of Minerds Bell Consultancy Group in Kingswood, SA.

Hillross named Gary Dean of Prosperity Wealth Advisers in Sydney as its Financial Adviser of the Year. Coral Coast Financial Planning in Cairns, Queensland was named as winner of the Advisory Firm of the Year and the Financial Freedom Achievement Awards which recognised the practice’s ongoing delivery of high quality advice and leading client service.

Other Hillross awards included New Adviser of the Year won by Jay Murphy of Arrive Wealth Management in Brisbane, Professional Excellence won by Simon Everett of Elysian Wealth Services, West Perth and Service to the Community won by Tony Greenham of Definitive Financial Services , Subiaco, WA.
