CommInsure has emerged as the big winner in the 2009 Plan For Life/AFA Life Company of the Year Awards.
The insurer has won the Platinum Award for 2009 Life Company of the Year and has also taken home other key awards including the valued Service Quality Award, and the Award for best Trauma Product.
The other finalists in the Platinum Award were Asteron and TOWER Australia.

In accepting the Platinum Award at a packed industry gathering in Sydney today, CommInsure’s Managing Director, Paul Rayson, thanked his risk team for the hard work they put in: “We hang our hat on the service we deliver to advisers and their clients,” said Mr Rayson, adding “We believe it is the client experience, both before and after taking out insurance, that really matters.”
These highly regarded industry awards are notable due to the robust nature of the assessment criteria and the fact that adviser opinion has a strong impact on the outcome of most of the awards.
This year has also seen the introduction of a new ‘Innovation Award’, which was won by MLC for its Best Doctors initiative, launched late in 2009.
