MLC’s Best Doctors program has won a CANSTAR CANNEX 2010 Innovation Excellence Award.
The Best Doctors program provides MLC trauma insurance policyholders and their families with access to expert medical opinions at any time, but especially when needed the most.
The service collects all existing medical information from which a detailed clinical summary is created and given to an appropriate, peer nominated, Best Doctors specialist for review and recommendations.
“Access to the world’s best medical specialists is something that’s normally out of reach but with Best Doctors, all of a sudden it’s a reality,” said CANSTAR

“This initiative from MLC should go a long way towards encouraging the uptake of Critical Illness policies which in turn addresses the serious problem of under-insurance in Australia,” added Mr Mitchell.
Launched in October 2009, this latest award for Best Doctors follows recognition from riskinfo as being one of the top three life company initiatives in 2009, and also won the inaugural AFA/Plan For Life Innovation Award for 2009 as part of its Life Company of the Year awards package.
