AFA Adviser of the Year

Now in its eighth year, the AFA notes the purpose of its Adviser of the Year Award, sponsored by Zurich, is to pay tribute to individuals who not only run highly successful financial advisory businesses but who also go above and beyond in contributing to the financial services industry and wider community.

In-depth assessment criteria considered by the Award’s judging panel include:

  • Experience
  • Qualitative assessment of the advisory business
  • Quantitative assessment of the advisory business
  • Practice management
  • Contribution to the community
  • Contribution to the industry
  • Educational background and qualifications

AFA Rising Star Award

Sponsored by ING, the AFA Rising Star Award recognises ‘up-and-coming’ advisers who provide quality advice, excellence in practice management and are major contributors to the industry and/or community.

AFA Student of the Year

The most recent of the three main AFA Adviser Awards is the AFA Student of the Year.  This award is intended to support and reward those who undertake the challenge of acquiring knowledge, and then apply this knowledge to their business, their clients, their industry and their community.

To be considered for this Award, sponsored by Asteron, financial advice students must currently be studying, and they must also complete a brief submission.

The two previous winners of the AFA Student of the Year Award have been:
