As the AFA counts down to its 2010 Annual Conference, the Association is highlighting its inaugural Small Licensee Practice Principal Conference, which is to be run concurrently.

To be held on the Gold Coast from 24 – 26 October, the program for the Small Licensees Conference, which has been designed by practising advisers, will focus on meeting the current and future needs of advisers, practice principals and small dealer groups.

The AFA says highlights of both the small licensee conference and the main platform include futurist and strategist, Mike Walsh, CEO of Tomorrow, a leading authority on the digital future and AFA’s legal and compliance consultant Christina Kalantzis, Director of Alexis Compliance and Risk Solutions.

Commenting on the importance of independence among small and boutique licensees, AFA Conference Chair, Troy Edmondson, said “… the AFA is acutely aware that the small licensees that make up the independent sector of the advice industry need an issues driven, collegial forum in which to debate and discuss the unique issues they face.”
