AMP has announced two key appointments within AMP Financial Planning:
Andrew Hobern has been appointed as Director of Business Performance, while Deborah Sneddon has been appointed Director of Operations.
Both are newly created roles and are positioned within AMP Financial Planning, Advice & Services (FPAS).
AMP Director of FPAS, Steve Helmich, said the appointments are part of AMP’s move to improve the quality and effectiveness of AMP’s financial planner and adviser support services and ultimately to further business growth:
“The creation of these roles, along with the new Director of Advice announced last week (see AMP Appoints Director of Advice), support a centralised operating model designed to be more efficient and stimulate growth. We want to provide the best advice and planner and adviser support in the market place,” Mr Helmich said.
Mr Hobern will be responsible for driving the growth and performance of AMP’s FPAS business, while Ms Sneddon will lead the FPAS Process and Technology Support,
Commissions and Register Management, Practice Integration and the Risk and Compliance teams.
Both positions will report direct to Mr Helmich and will commence in December 2010.
