One year on from the launch of Best Doctors, MLC has announced it will extend the service to a number of its Group Insurance clients.
All clients with employer owned MLC Group Salary Continuance policies now have access to the service, at no additional cost.
Sean McCormack, MLC’s General Manager of Advice Product and Bancassurance, said: “Whether people receive peace of mind relating to their current diagnosis and treatment plan or obtain alternative treatment options to explore, they benefit from the advice of leading medical specialists from around the world.
“The response from clients utilising the service has been overwhelmingly positive and advisers have told us that Best Doctors is providing a significant benefit to their clients,” Mr McCormack said.
The extension means that more than 200,000 MLC clients and their families now have access to the Best Doctors service.
During its first twelve months of operation, MLC reports more than 20 per cent of enquiries to Best Doctors have been for children and 50 per cent of those using the service have been under the age of 40.
