MetLife Insurance Limited Australia (MetLife) has announced the delivery of a new web-based tool which enables the online submission of claims.
Fully linked to back-end administration and workflow systems, MetLife says its eClaims online tool provides customers with “24/7 access to complete a claim form for any product.”
According to MetLife, the eClaims tool has an integrated rules engine which is designed to facilitate less complex claims where information is immediately accessible to claim assessors, while freeing up time to review more complex situations that require additional review and investigation.

“Customers are typically dealing with some type of distress when filing a claim. We have designed our online claim questionnaire to be reflexive – we only ask what is needed when it is needed,” said Tom Flood, MetLife’s Chief Administration Officer.
“This ensures the customer experience is focused on delivering on our promise of compassion and financial security with each and every claim filed,” added Mr Flood.
MetLife says the eClaims tool is the final component in its eToolkit range of services. The customer focused eToolkit includes eQuery, eLodgement, eApply and eServicing tools.
“The objective of our eToolkit is to provide maximum ease of access for customers at all levels – from the partner or administrator through to the covered member or beneficiary filing a claim,” said Mr Flood.
