The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance has announced the winners of its 2011 Australian Insurance Industry Awards.
Amongst a host of other awards that focussed on the general insurance sector, CommInsure was crowned the Life Insurance Company of the Year, beating out other finalists BT Financial Group and OnePath.
Managing Director of CommInsure, Paul Rayson, said: “I am proud to be part of a team that cares deeply about the role that insurance plays in our society in helping families in times of need.”
“I am particularly pleased we have been recognised for our advocacy efforts to address underinsurance in the community and to champion the value of financial advice,” said Mr Rayson.
The Awards, which are now in their eight year, were presented at a gala ceremony in Sydney last week.
This recognition of CommInsure follows its joint win earlier this year with TOWER Australia of the Platinum Award as the 2010 Plan for Life/AFA Life Insurance Company of the Year (see TOWER, CommInsure Joint Winners…).
