AFA Female Excellence in Advice Finalists Announced

Ahead of its annual conference next week, the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has announced the finalists in the inaugural Female Excellence in Advice Award.

According to the AFA, the Award was established to celebrate the high level of professionalism displayed by female members of the financial services community, and to profile successful female advisers.

The Award, a joint initiative between the AFA, TAL (formerly TOWER Australia) and the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, attracted more than 100 nominees.

The finalists are:

  • Dianne Chalk, Hillross Fairy Meadow, NSW
  • Michelle Tate-Lovery, Unified Financial Services, VIC
  • Michelle Veitch, MAP Financial Strategies, SA
  • Olivia Maragna, Aspire Retire Financial Services, QLD
  • Susan Jackson, Womens’ Financial Network, VIC
  • Therese Stanton, Domane Financial Advisers, NSW

Brett Clark, CEO, TAL Retail Life, said he was very pleased with the industry’s response to the Award.

“We have been delighted with the quality of female advisers in Australia who have taken the time to participate in this Award,” Mr Clark said.  “All nominees have been strong contributors to their communities and are doing exceptional work for their clients.  The finalists are women who are shaping the future of financial advice and are outstanding role models in their industry.”
