ClearView Wealth, which is developing a new life insurance Policy Administration System and Underwriting Rules Engine, has appointed Hicham Mourad to lead the implementation of its reinvigorated IT strategy.
A media release from the company says that FY19 it completed a comprehensive IT strategy review to assess the group’s technology; scope the technology needs of existing and future customers; and establish a clear development roadmap to build a robust, scalable platform.
“As part of the review, ClearView announced that it would develop a new life insurance Policy Administration System and Underwriting Rules Engine and investigate a replacement for its current wealth wrap platform,” the release says.
ClearView’s Managing Director, Simon Swanson says that the focus of these changes is “to ensure that ClearView can improve both client and adviser service; swiftly adapt to industry changes; and ensure we have an IT platform that can grow as the business grows”.
Mourad joins ClearView from Westpac where he was Head of Platforms, Investments and Operations.
