ClearView Makes Key Senior Appointments

ClearView Wealth has announced key senior management appointments, as part of a business realignment, with Gerard Kerr joining in the newly-created position of General Manager, Life Insurance.

A statement from the insurer says Kerr will join ClearView in February 2021 from Zurich Financial Services Australia, where he has held the role of Head of Group Insurance, Life and Investments since July 2019, following Zurich’s acquisition of OnePath.

Prior to that, he held senior positions at OnePath/ANZ Wealth including Head of Life from 2013 to June 2019.

Meanwhile, Deborah Lowe, currently General Manager, People and Operations at ClearView, has been appointed to the newly-created position of General Manager, Wealth Management and Chief Human Resources Officer.

Lowe joined ClearView in 2013 and has played a “pivotal role in shaping the direction of the Group’s HR, operations and technology strategy”.

The company also announced that Nadine Gooderick has been appointed to the newly-created position of General Manager, Transformation. Prior to joining ClearView, she spent 22 years at Reinsurance Group of America in various international roles including the last eight years as Chief Operating Officer of RGA Australia.

ClearView’s Managing Director Simon Swanson says the appointments are part of a business realignment that will “…enable us to better execute our reinvigorated strategy and continue growing in a challenging, rapidly changing environment”.

The statement adds that there are no other changes to the senior management team.
