The FPA has announced that Kearsten James, Julie Matheson and Julian Place have been elected to its board.

A statement from the association says that James and Place will serve on the FPA board for the first time, while Matheson has been re-elected  after previously serving until 2016.

Kearsten James.

James is the Gold Coast FPA Chapter Chair; Matheson is a long standing member of the FPA and an FPA Distinguished Service Award recipient and Place has been the FPA Chapter Chair for Melbourne for the last 10 years.

All three positions are for three years and will start at the AGM on 25 November 2020.

Julie Matheson.

FPA Chair Marisa Broome says that on behalf of the board she is looking forward to working with the new board members, adding that each brings important skills and experience which will add to the depth of knowledge on the board.

Julian Place.

The three appointments follow the expiry of terms for board members Broome, Delma Newton and Michelle Tate-Lovery in November 2020 but Broome has been appointed by the board as an additional director and continues as FPA Chair for an additional term.

The FPA says that Newton has served two terms on the board and is ineligible to stand again. Tate-Lovery was eligible for re-election but made the decision not to stand again.
