Launch of Life Tech Assist


Respected industry contributor, David Spiteri, has launched a new service offer for any advisers seeking independent assistance with their life insurance queries.

Called Life Tech Assist, the service is structured on a direct phone, virtual conference or email basis. As its name suggests, Spiteri and his support team are able to assist advisers – both risk specialists and generalists – with a raft of technical and other life insurance queries in relation to areas including:

  • Insurance product offers
  • Policy definitions and wordings
  • A second opinion on insurance strategies or outcomes
  • Life insurance options and cover available within Industry Superannuation Funds

Spiteri, who has featured in several Riskinfo Round Table events, told Riskinfo the genesis of the new industry service was based around advisers requesting this type of service offer, which is delivered on a fully independent and completely impartial basis.

Spiteri notes the service also offers a Resource Centre for subscribers, intended as a comprehensive library providing access to marketing documents, adviser tools, education, and resources which is contained in the one location.

Life Tech Assist was soft-launched by Spiteri in March following his 35+ year career, initially as a risk-focused adviser, and then as a life insurance specialist service provider operating with a selection of key dealer groups such as Adviser Investment Services, ANZ, BT Financial Group and, most recently, Centrepoint Alliance.

According to Spiteri, his new service, still in its infancy, already serves both large and boutique dealer groups as well as around 50 individual advisers operating across various advice practices.

By way of launching this new offer to the broader sector, Life Tech Assist is presenting a free webinar for advisers and paraplanners entitled Retail Income Protection “Sweet Spots” and Strategies.

The webinar considers and compares the current crop of income protection products in the market and provides a matrix of different client scenarios and insurer products for advisers and paraplanners to consider.
