Insignia Financial CEO Steps Down

Insignia Financial has announced its CEO, Renato Mota will step down after 20 years with the company, effective end of February 2024.

Insignia says that during the last 20 years Mota has been a key organisational leader “…including the last five years as CEO, where he delivered cultural and organisational transformation including two industry defining acquisitions.”

Chairman Allan Griffiths says that over his time with the group, Mota has been “…instrumental in transforming IOOF and ultimately Insignia Financial into one of Australia’s leading wealth management organisations.”

He says Mota’s ability “…to create a purpose-led culture and execute a bold strategy in the face of numerous challenges, including a global pandemic, are marks of his outstanding leadership qualities.”

In wishing Mota well in his future endeavours, Griffiths notes the firm has started a search for its next CEO “…to build on these foundations and continue to execute on the opportunities our market position and capabilities currently represent.”

Mota says it has  been a privilege to be part of Insignia Financial over the past 20 years and its CEO over the last five (also see Insignia Advice Restructure).

He adds that he will leave behind a talented and passionate team “…who will continue to build the organisation for the benefit of all stakeholders. I thank all of our people for their friendship and support, and wish them all the very best.”
