While there was a modest gain in the number of financial advisers in the past week, Wealth Data says 75 advisers were ‘active’ – either being appointed or resigning.
The research firm’s Colin Williams says the adviser count moved up by six advisers, boosted by five new entrants.
However 75 advisers “…’moved’ in one direction or another this week,” with 29 licensee owners seeing net gains of 38 advisers and 24 licensee owners having net losses of 31 advisers.
Williams says that as the industry starts to look at closing the year “..we can expect more volatility in the adviser market.”
He notes the current number of advisers sits at 15,694. This is 105 fewer advisers for the calendar year to date but a gain of 135 advisers for the financial year to date.
