March Adviser Exam to Include Latest Amendments

0

The next financial adviser exam in March will reflect the Government’s latest amendments around the exam’s delivery and the rules on who can sit the exam.

A statement from ASIC says these amendments are:

  • Remove the short answer questions from the exam and increase the number of multiple-choice questions
  • Remove the requirement limiting exam participation to new financial advisers who have completed an approved degree and existing providers

(See: Consultation on Changes to Adviser Exam and Support for Proposed Exam Changes).

The commission says the next exam will be held on 26 March 2024.

ASIC explains that it’s implementing the Government’s amendments to the approved principles for the administration of the adviser exam that were registered on 18 January 2024.
