An AI-powered system to record client meetings and create structured file notes has been officially launched by North, a contemporary wrap platform owned by AMP and available to all advisers.

The firm states that its ‘market-first’ AI FileNote can replace manual note-taking, has been built specifically for advisers, and draws on commonly used financial services terminology.

AI FileNote was trialled last year with advisers taking part saying they saved up to 30 minutes per client meeting, says Edwina Maloney, AMP Group Executive, Platforms.

“The annual review process is one of the most important interactions advisers have with their clients and we’ve done a lot of work in understanding how to simplify this for advisers, seamlessly save time, and drive much better engagement every step of the way,” says Maloney.

“AI FileNote is making the critical but costly process of client reviews easier for advisers, streamlining both their compliance and client engagement capabilities.

“We’re helping practices accelerate their productivity up and down the value chain.”

Maloney points to research by Investment Trends that shows more than one third of advisers have embraced artificial intelligence to improve practice efficiency. It also found that while almost half expressed interest in using AI, they wanted training on how to use it.
