ING Australia (ING) has launched a new online website service for advisers, called Life[on]Line.
Life[on]Line presents a series of life risk webcasts that feature various topics relating specifically to risk advisers, particularly across claims and underwriting services.
This new online service is intended to ‘open the door’ to ING’s back office as it addresses the task of enhancing the service offering from its claims and underwriting teams.
The initial webcast comprises a four-minute presentation to advisers featuring ING’s Chief Underwriter, John Leonard. Mr Leonard covers various elements of ING’s underwriting ‘proposition’ and wants advisers to trust that ING will give them their best offer first. This in turn is intended to lead to adviser confidence in ING’s underwriting processes.
The webcast discusses a number of specifics, including:
- Mandatory engagement rules, where underwriters are required to contact advisers in the event of loadings, exclusions etc
- Accessibility by advisers to key underwriting personnel
- Enhancing the PMAR process (via the successful introduction of brief medical reports – BMR’s)
- Electronic application technology benefits, demonstrating the value and efficiency of the ING OneCare Express system for advisers
Further webcasts will be released over time, with the next webcast to focus on elements of the insurer’s claims services.
