New Adviser/Client Interactive Tool

A New South Wales adviser is launching an interactive application that aims to help advisers enhance the client interview and advice process.

Called iRisk Advisor, the service is an ‘app’ designed for use on Apple iPads.  The package includes interactive, ‘client friendly’ fact find and needs analysis software that flows through to insurance product quotations and online submission of the chosen solution.  The package also includes information for consumers about various insurance solutions and when they may be needed.

According to iRisk Advisor’s creator, David Clark, the new ‘app’ service offers advisers the opportunity to speed up the entire adviser/client process, leading in turn to greater efficiencies and productivity.

As well as providing a streamlined advice process, Mr Clark, Principal of Sydney firm Clark Pacific Financial Services, said the process enables the client to immediately establish areas where they need to consider new insurance solutions or to increase existing cover.  He said this package provides an opportunity for the adviser/client conversation about personal insurance to change from the client needing to be ‘sold’ a solution to a situation where the client can instantaneously determine the areas where they need financial protection and the areas they will elect to self-insure.

In being presented via iPad tablets, Mr Clark added this allows an easier client interaction, rather than advisers having to rely on lap top or desk top computers to deliver the process.

Mr Clark also said the package can be tailored to present client outcomes which reflect an adviser’s own philosophy about the appropriateness of various insurance solutions.  For example, in cases where advisers may differ on how trauma insurance should be included alongside other lump sum covers, iRisk Advisor will allow different outcomes from the same information to accommodate a solution the adviser believes will best serve his/her client.

Distribution of the iRisk Advisor service will be made via life companies.  Mr Clark and his team are presently finalising arrangements with a number of insurers prior to making the service available in the near future.
