Vale Peter Moyle

The financial services industry has been deeply saddened by the tragic death of Adelaide adviser, Peter Moyle.  Mr Moyle fell prey to a random and highly aggressive illness.

Peter passionately believed in, and loved, what he did. He played a vital role in helping thousands of people protect the value of their own lives and those of their loved ones and associates.  It wasn’t a job for Peter.  It was a vocation.

He was held in the highest regard by his colleagues in the financial services community, both in Australia and overseas.  In 2010 he was invited to make a presentation at the Million Dollar Round Table Annual Meeting in Vancouver.  This has great significance, because only the highest achievers around the world are afforded the honour of sharing their wisdom with their peers at this annual event.

Peter also willingly shared his thoughts and ideas with his fellow Australian advisers and others within the financial services industry, as a presenter, a writer and a mentor.

His passing is a senseless tragedy without rhyme or reason.  It takes us all by surprise and forces us to question that which is most important to us in our own lives.

Peter has left a tangible legacy by way of the services and peace of mind he has given to so many.  But this legacy will only grow over time, especially for those of his clients who will benefit from the protection plans he was responsible for placing.  In that sense, Peter will still be there for his clients when they need him the most.

We extend our sincere condolences to Peter’s family and friends, to the colleagues who worked with him and to his wide circle of MDRT and other friends and associates in the financial services community.

  1. Peter was not only a fabulous husband to Grace and a great Dad to his daughters, but an incredibly passionate-yet-humble Go Giver in the financial services profession. Selfless in service of others, he will be sadly missed by all those whose lives he came to touch. It is the ultimate tribute to the man who was our brother that the MDRT family digital network has exploded with grief and shock at his passing – we mourn his passing and reflect in this sad time at the relevance he brought to Australia’s conversations about risk planning and protection.

  3. Peter was one of the true gentlemen of our industry. I have known Peter for the last 10 years and whilst we lived and worked in different states, everytime we saw each other at conferences and functions, it was like “old times” Peter was always generous with his time and thoughts, and I for one, will truly miss the man. My thoughts are with his family right now.

  4. I have only known Peter in the last three years and was so struck by his desire to help others and his willingness to give up his time to mentor up and coming Advisers in Adelaide. He will be greatly missed by all those who have ever had the privilege of connecting with him.
