MetLife Recruits New Senior Staffers

MetLife Insurance has recruited two new senior staff members adding to its innovation and sales teams.

The insurer announced it has hired former KPMG Innovation Manager, Brenton Charnley as Senior Manager, Innovation and tasked him with embedding the innovation process within MetLife and improving the experience of its customers.

Charnley comes to the role after eight years with KPMG and is joined by former Mercer, Partner and Sales Leader, Alex Kleiman who has been appointed Head of B2B Sales and Head of Melbourne Office.

Kleiman will oversee new business sales and acquisitions in the Group and Direct markets and will head up the Melbourne office joining MetLife after more than seven years at Mercer and more than eight years at Plum Financial Services.

MetLife Australia, Chief Executive, Deanne Stewart said Charnley’s experience with start-ups and entrepreneurs would be add to a culture of innovation at the insurer while Kleiman’s experience in developing partnerships would progress the evolution of its sales strategies.

“Customers are quite rightly demanding more from the industry and it’s crucial we devote time and resources to better understand their needs. We’re focused on delivering solutions that really make a difference and ensuring every step of the process is handled with the utmost care and compassion,” Stewart said.
