The insurer said it has been creating strategic partnerships with cloud-based technology groups to speed up the processing of insurance applications and advice documentation by financial advisers and to eliminating duplication and errors in the data entry of client information.

AIA Australia, Chief Retail Insurance Officer, Pina Sciarrone said streamlined administration for life insurance advice, applications and claims had been an area of major focus for the insurer as advisers also looked for ways to save time to focus on the provisions of better quality advice.

The new relationship between the two groups would lead to more advisers having access to seamless client information with AdviserLogic, Head of Product Development, Daniel Gara stating cloud based software systems were perfect for automated data feeds containing insurance policy information and made life easier for advisers.

Recently, AdviserLogic also became the first software provider to offer a live support service for advisers and paraplanners using the software during and after business hours.

“It’s surprising that it has taken the industry so long to meet the demand for out-of-hours contact between service providers and advisers. While we all aim for our services to be intuitive, that is no comfort if you are finishing an SOA late on a Friday evening and you just can’t get the outcome you want,” Gara said.

The service is being pitched at users who need real-time assistance, but don’t need to phone in, who are using the system after hours or want support that cannot be supplied via email and will run from another geographic location until late in each work-day evening.
