Advice Businesses Not Rushing to Seek External Help – Poll

0
Do you intend utilising external advice in the next 12 months to assist in further developing your business proposition and the value it delivers?
  • No (62%)
  • Yes (23%)
  • Not sure (15%)

Our latest poll indicates that the majority of advice business owners are somewhat reluctant to seek external help to build their practices.

Just over two thirds of respondents to our latest poll (67 percent) have indicated they do not intend utilising external advice in the next 12 months, to assist in further developing their business proposition and the value it delivers.

And that is despite consulting firm Business Health disclosing that one of its key learnings from 21 years of providing service to advice businesses is that “…those practices who engage with a coach etc on a regular basis, are achieving a higher level of profitability when compared to those who don’t.” (See: Link Between Seeking External Help and Profitability.)

However, our poll did find that just over one in five business owners (22 percent) would seek external help to build their practices over the next 12 months, while another 11 percent were not sure, meaning that about a third of business advice owners are open to the idea of seeking external help.

Our poll remains open for another week and we would value your input…
